Carl W. Buehner Mr. Buehner is the president and director of Salt Lake City's Beehive State Bank. He entered business in the Salt Lake area with the Buehner Block Co., of which he is now president. In addition to these business interests, he is an officer or director of more than a half-dozen other companies in the Western states, including Beehive Poultry and Beehive Machinery Co. He served for 10 years in the presiding presiding bishopric of the : Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently is a Cottonwood regional representative for the church's Council of Twelve Apostles. He was also for six years a member of-the general superintendency of the LDS Mutual Improvement Assn. He has served 'as president of the Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America the past five years. His major campaign .theme has centered centered around the contention that his business business experience could best be used in leading the economic growth of the state. He has claimed that a change of business climate within the state is necessary, asserting that the state is at a .critical point in :state financing, unemployment, per capita income, business bankruptcy and outflow .of educated young persons.
