S. L. Father, Son Arraigned on U. S. Tax Count A father and son were arraigned oefore U. S. Dist. Judge Willis W Ritter Thursday, charged with evading income taxes for the year 1944-46. They were Archie Rr.c MoFar land and Archie Paul McFarland Salt Lake meat packers. The two men were accused o failing to pay $128,500 in tax payments payments for the three years. They waived Indictment by grand jury. Date for entering pleas was set for March 30, and they were released without bond. Archie Rae McFarland was ac- of paying $68,356 less than a the amount due on his income for the three years. Archie Paul McFarland McFarland is charged with failing to remit ?60,M4, claimed by the gov- ' crnment.
