Alvin Woelfle Alvin J. Woelfle, 73, a former Bloomington resident who moved to Stuart, Fla., 16 years ago, died at his Stuart home Wednesday following an extended illness. The Pekin native was owner of the former Illinois Butane Gas Co. in Bloomington. Surviving are his wife, the former Dona A. Athey; a daughter, Donna Quigg, Inverness, Fla.; three brothers, Arthur and Clarence of Pekin and Louis of Peoria; and one granddaughter. Mr. Woelfle had been associated with St. John's Lutheran Church of Pekin. He had been a member of Arts and Crafts Lodge of Bloomington and the Scottish Rite Valley of Bloomington. He was also involved in Shrine activities in Florida. Mr. Woelfle had also been a member of the Elks Lodge in Stuart. An Elks memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at Johns Funeral Chapel, Stuart. Mr. Woelfle's body will be cremated.
