The Fort Hamilton Horse Show Taking it from the side of interest in the horses entered, entered, the Fort Hamilton Horse Show was one of the best small shows we have seen in many a day. The affair, which was to benefit the Army Relief Society, took place on Friday, May 23rd, and Saturday, May 24th, at Fort Hamilton, and was under the patronage of Major General Robert Lee Bullard, U. S. A., and seventy, or more persons of prominence. The Judges were thoroughly well-fitted well-fitted well-fitted for their work, rendering the most careful and just decisions, or so thought the writer of the first half of this article, who attended the show on Friday afternoon. The saddle horses and ponies were judged by General Charles I. Debevoise of Brooklyn, and Mr. George B. Hulme of Halesite, L. I., Polo Mounts and Military Classes by Major Ernest G. Cullum, U. S. A., Hunters and Jumpers by Mr. Thomas G Assheton of Manhattan and Mr. Pierre Lorillard, Jr., of Tuxedo, N. Y., and Mr. Harry Taylor played his usual role of stern Ring Master. As we entered the enclosure we were conscious of see- see- -ing Miss Lisbeth Higgins on her "Fandango" and Miss Janet MacKay on "Cherokee Princess" flying by in the ring; but we were so excited by seeing such a beautiful expanse of green grass, and the fine trees of Fort Hamilton Hamilton which overspread the boxes where our seats were, that we did not notice who won the sweepstakes.
