Laurel Sering Tells Betrothal at Party For Mrs. Anderson At a postnuptial shower complimenting complimenting Mrs. Emmett Anderson, Eagle Rock, given by Mrs. William E. Howard and Miss Adelaide Stevens, Stevens, 608 Glenwood drive, Miss Laurel Sering, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Sering, Mentone, announced announced her engagement to Harold T. Shortridge, Phoenix. Delta sorority sisters of the hon-oree hon-oree hon-oree and hostesses were present at the shower and betrothal party on Sunday afternoon. Miss Sering is a member of Delta Kappa Psi sorority and is starting her second year's teaching at Parker Parker dam. She is a graduate of the University of Redlands, class of 1940. Mr. Shortridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Shortridge, Phoenix Ariz., is a graduate of the University University of Arizona. He is now manager manager of Vancouver Business college, Vancouver, Wash.
