The committee appointed to exam ine Siever street, reported that they found a number of obstructions in the street which should be removed, and the street opened. The report was received and the committee discharged. The city marshall was instructed to remove the obstruction. Mayor Phillips announced to the council that he had signed a contract with Sheriff Belding for the care of city prisoners, On motion of Mr. Smith, the action of the mayor was approved. A FEW MORE HILLS. The following bills were read, allow- allow- lowed and ordered paid : H. B. Beaman, salary I 85 00 F. C. Thulen. Giddings, salary 25 00 City Marshal's pay roll 6 00 Black Hills Pioneer 24 45 Frank Avres 2 00 Total 1357,00 The bill of John A. Nye and C. R. Webster for a rebate of $20.83 on their theatre license was referred to a com mittee on licenses. Councilman Smith called up the Steinagle matter and moved that warrant be drawn on the treasurer for Ihe amount. Carried.
