B. Merriss Service Held Funeral services' for Byron R Merriss, 71, who died Sunday, fol lowing 1 a brief illness, 'were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wesley Methodist, Church, . with Doctor Paul A\ Peterson officiating. Mrs. Paul Peterson sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. W. L. Holt at the organ. Mrs. Edmund O'Rourke and Mrs. Floyd ^Wilson were in charge of flowers. Winston Hansen and Robert Jellings were ushers. Pallbearers were Ben Schriver, Earl .Paulus, Edmund O'Rourke, Merle" Brallier, Floyd Wilson and Oliver Fields, Interment was at Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield. The Colonial' Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements'!. Attending the services from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. John Seifken and family, Rockford; I. V. Merriss and son, Lendal, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bates, and son, Darrell, Iowa Falls; Doris Rieverts and Mr. arid Mrs. Charles Stoll, Iowa Falls. Mr. and Mrs. George Stokes, Hampton; Mr. and Mrs." Wayne Stokes, Clear Lake; Karen Mer fiss and Compton Stokes, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore a and Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Elwood. Rock Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Moore, Nora Springs.
