DECORAHLEASES SITE OF AIRPORT Work on Field Will Start Soon; New Air Route Is Considered. D E C O RAH, March 23—Fifty acres of land to be used for an airport have been leased from John A. Jewell of Decorah township by the Decorati city council. The consideration was $7 an acre, with alfalfa rights reserved. The land was leased for a period of five years and work will be started on the field before April 1. H. B. Montgomery, president of the L. Tatro Products corporation, has offered to pay §100 a year toward the lease, the' city of Decorah to assume the remainder of the expense. A shorter air route may be established from the Twin Cities, through Iowa City, Rochester and Decorah, going south, when the local-airport is completed. This route is already being considered as' a possibility.
