Dewey Tatro. Cliff Ryan and Scoot Jennisch returned home Sunday after a 1400 mile air trip around the state of linva. says the Decorah Journal. The goi-d will caravan, which included 20 planes, was sponsored partly by the Chambers of Commerce of the eighteen towns visited, and was a goodwill tour, non-profitable, in the interest of furthering aviation progress. A highlight highlight of the tour was that the state's first aerial hitchhiker was exposed. Robert Higgins. a young fellow from Webb. Iowa, made the entire trip by "thumb." He is a farm boy who established established a new record in this mode of travel.
