Area Vets. Three From County, Are, Home from Korea Five area combat veterans, including three from Oneida county 1 , arrived Tuesday in -Seattle aboard a troop ship .returning 1,533 Korean troops. Nearly 80 Wisconsin soldiers were aboard, the Associated Press reported. They returned under the Army's rotation program for Korean veterans. One veteran was Cpl. John C. Charbarneau. son of Peter Charbar- leau of Pine Lake. Cpl. Charbarneau returned after two and a half years of overseas service. Twenty- one years old, he enlisted Sept. 5, 1948, and served in the infantry. Another was Cpl. William H, Collier, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Col- icr of Monico. Nineteen years old, Cpl. Collier enlisted in September. 1949, and served in the Medical Corps. He attended Rhinelander rligh School and graduated in 1949 from Three Lakes High School. The county's third Korean veteran was Sgt. Lycyan Gorski, 35, of Three Lakes. Sgt. Gorski's parents are deceased, but he is returning to friends in Three Lakes. A medical corpsman, he is a veteran of World War II. with five years of service prior to enlisting two years ago. Two other soldiers returning were Cpl. John M. Hartman of Phillips and Sgt. Edward Jetty of Deerbrook.
