A petition from Peter Jedon, of Warrington township, in the county of Bucks, was read, setting forth, that his father Francis Jedon, was appointed collector of taxes within the said township who, being old and infirm, employed the petitioner to do the business; that on the evening of the third of December last, on his way to make payment into the treasure of the several sums he had collected, he was robbed by two armed men of forty-six pounds five shillings in paper currency, fifty-one dollars..
