Swem the pastor Steve Vuriell FENNVILI.E -- Steve Va.ri- ell, 84,'P'. route 1, Pullman, in his home Tuesday morning, following a brief illness. Mr. Variell was born Jan. 1832, in Allegan county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Variell. A life long resident of the area, he was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Josie; one son, Harold VanWeri o f O h i o ; t h c h i l d r e n , M r s Thorpe and Franz Thompson, both of Douglas and Mrs. Brcnnan of Chicago; two grandsons; grandsons; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Britton Elgin, III. and Mrs. Herbert Wilkinson of Glenn and one half-brother, Monroe Eaton of Ganges. Funeral services will be held at ,2 p.m. Thursday in the Chappell funeral home, Fenn- vlllo. The Rev. Joslah Pennington, Pennington, pastor of the Douglas Congregational church, will officiate. officiate. Burial will be in Stuller cemetery, Pullman.
