Andy Falls, high school track, Mar 1973
Quick i -Crew A couple of half-milers and a pair of rnilers suddenly find themselves joining together at Del Rio High School. to form a 2-mile relay unit for that special event to be produced Friday at Uvalde 's invitational track and field meet in the Honey Bowl. Coach Walter Levermann said that Mike Gonzalez and Andy Falls, regular milers will team with 880-yard runners Pete Orr and Rueben G onzales to make up the Ram entry. The quartet farted the distance and the 1 handoffs Tuesday and Wednesday and have a dress rehearsal for this evening and then it's on to Uvalde and the Honey Bowl Friday to see how the makeshift combo mobiles in competition. We admire the quartet for their determination to try the special 2-mile relay event and wish them Juck along the long route. Mike and Andy, the milers, are working on an, escalated stride while Pete and Rueben, accustomed to the half-mile orbits, are concentrating on extra good efforts to keep the crew somewhere in contention. It makes for an interesting combination and one to watch Friday night in the Honey Bowl.
