The Macon Republican (Macon, MO) 22 Mar 1902 pg 1
W W. Lovett, who has been very bad with pneumonia fever, died at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 13, 1902. He lived on the Chariton botto-u botto-u botto-u south of the railroad. He was an honest and industrious gentleman, and had built himself a nice home by hard work and careful management. He leaves a wife and family to whom we extend our sympathy.
