According to the report filed with the sheriff's office later in the afternoon, the mishap occurred at 12:30 p.m. Kruncos said he was driving south on Highway 47. about one mile northwest of the city, when the bicyclist turned to the left in front of his car. The car struck the bicycle, causing minor damage, and the impact knocked the rider off.
