PRESLEY SENTENCED ON VAGRANCY CHARGE Carthage, Mo., Jan. 9.—Frank Presley, a Carthage young man, this afternoon was sentenced to serve twenty days In tho county Jail, on a charge of vagrancy, when arrested arrested ani taken before Justice M. F. Viernow, Presley was arrested a week ngo, when officers officers declared he asked several pedestrians for money, and told to leave town under threat of being arrested for vagrancy. Ho makes his home with his aged grandmother, grandmother, who lives in the west part of the city, and who appeared in court this afternoon afternoon and opposed Presley's being sent to jail, Presley was arrested, officers said, after neighbors had reported that he ran his grandmother out of the ho^use with a knife. Both denied this.
