Sohn von C. Hader verunglückte tödlich, 1891 Entschädigung
Damage Suit Settled. RACIXE, Wis., March 3.—Several vears ago the 5-year-old son of Charles Hader was drowned in a cistern carelessly left open near Sixth Street bridge by the city. The suit was instituted against the city for $5,000 damages, and resulted in a verdict for $1,500 for the father. The case was appealed to the supreme court and the decision of the lower court sustained. The case was again tried in the circuit court on some technical point, and a second verdict of $1,500 was rendered. At a meeting of the city Council, held, last evening the city attorney recommended recommended that Hader bo allowed $1,200 in settlement of the case. The council also awarded the contract for illuminating illuminating the entire city to the Badger Elec> trie Company.
