a 1 Case Is Expected to Go Jury Late Wednesday Night. to Sylvanla. Ga May 16. Special. The case of Dr. J. B. Hiers of Miami Kla formerly of Screven county. Georgia charged with the murder January 12 of William Randall of Screven county la expected to reach the Jury late tomorrow night. Dr. Hun was ar raigned In court here this morning after being brought to Sylvanla yesterday from Savannah where he had been In jail for safekeeping since hi arrest. According to the state's presentation of the case Dr. Ulers hired Randall In Mlllen to drive him in an automobile to Savannah. Randall's body was found several days later in an old well on the road not far from Sylvania. Dr. 3-tiers was arrested January 19 at the home of his father-in-law In Miami. Nothing in the way of a surprise has developed. The nearest approach to a sensation was a motion by the defense to declare a mistrial on account of a conversation between persons in 1 the court room having been overheard by one of the Jurors pitting In the box. This motion was overruled. The defense had concluded its testimony when the case was adjourned at dark Fourteen well-known and ad Ing citizens of the county testified that 1 the accused man enjoyed an excellent reputation.
