Alvin Henry Alvin E. Henry, 85, Cherry Tree RD 2, died Saturday, Nov, 7,1998, at his home. The son of John C. and Florence J. Rager Henry, he was born July 21, 1913, in Montgomery Township, Indiana County. Mr. Henry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Indiana, where he served as a high priest. He was a former Branch President of the Punxsutawney Congregation. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Henry retired following a 35-year career as a railroad engineer. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers, Altoona. He and his wife of 54 years, the former Esther Fry Brimley of Morgan, Utah, married on Aug. 24,1944. Together they operated Henry's Restaurant in Hillsdale for 23 years. He is survived by his wife and the following children: James F. Henry and his wife, the former Lynda Decker, Brandon, Fla.; Thomas D. :Henry and his wife, the former Elizabeth Hopkins, Orem, Utah; William E. Henry and his wife, the former Jacque Turner, Gilbert, Ariz., Julie Ann Price and her husband, Guy, Pocatelto, Idaho; Richard D. Henry and his wife, the former Paula Ceglinsky, Campbell, Calif., and Mary Lynn Carraway and her husband, David, McLean, Va; 33 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; three brothers; Frank Henry, Cherry Tree RD 2; Sidney Henry, Marion Center RD 1, and Murray Henry, Cherry Tree RD He was preceded In death by his parents; his son, Jon Patrick Henry; Four brothers: John, James, Del- :mont and Almont Henry and two sisters, Beulah Orr and Alice Baker. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, and from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1580 Old Route 119 North, Indiana. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Hillsdale. ,
