Dealers Hear About Buick Special Model John L. Eckert, local Buick dealer went to Cincinnati Wednesday to attend a preview of the new Buick Special model which will be introduced to the public in the near future. Some 600 dealers and salesmen from the Cincinnati zone attended yesterday the all - day session at the Netherland Plaza Hotel. The meeting is Buick’s most important full-fledged dealer convention since before the war. The Special is Buick’s lowest priced model, and is reported to be completely redesigned. It has been eagerly awaited by the industry since the former model went out of production last December. R. J. Kelly, Zone Manager, presided at the meeting and with his staff, relayed to dealers technical and descriptive data on the Special, which they obtained during field sales organization convention in Flint, Michigan, July 11-13. Talks on films were presented to dealers by Buick top management covering all phases of manufacturing, engineering, sales and merchandising. ABC Announces Permit Suspensions For 31 Indianapolis, Ind., July 22—(INS)— The Indiana Alocoholic Beverage Commission today made public the j names of an Anderson, Ind., tavern operator and two bartenders whose permits were revoked on bootlegging charges. Suspensions were ordered by the ABC for 31 other persons to whom liquor permits have been issued. The permits of Anna V. Smith, ’ Anderson tavern operator, and Wilbur J. Bland, and Gilber E. Day, bartenders, were ordered revoked after they were found guilty by an ABC hearing judge of Sunday sale
