best bet he in that was game, he checks, total $20 the more, and man TO BE HELD iON BITTEBJOTllEK issoula, Sept. 28.--Two hundred Indians are expccttrt to attend an Indian pow-wow Friday, baturday and Sunday at the Sidney Ward ranch, seven miles south of Hamilton. ·Mr. Ward and Sam Ross, former members of the state railroad commission, were in the city yesterday from Hamilton while completing the arrangements for the affair. They were accompanied by three Indian chiefs, Koostata of the Kootcnais, Michael of the Pcnd d'Orellcs and Chariot of the Flathcads. Mr. Ward said the whites were entertaining the Indians and would provide apples, potatoes and vegetables for the Indians. Mr. Ward and Ross took several members of the Flathcad tribe who arc berry-picking in the valley to St. Ignatius for meeting of the Flathcad Indian il council. "We arc looking forward to a pow-wow," Mr. Ward said and are now more than 125 Indians in valley.
