IOWA. Comrade S. Plumb, Stuart, Iowa, writes us that Maxwell Post, No. 14, held an opeu meeting on the evening of the 10th inst, to make arraugements about proctmng a flag for the Post. Tlie ladies wore present and agreed to make a flag, if the comrades would furnish the material and design. During tho evening refreshments wero served in tho shape of beans and hard-tack, tho latter consisting of soda crackers and coffee. A resolution was adopted returning thanks to the citizens of Stuart for their patronago and assistance; to General Josiah Given and Major E. H. Conger for their ablo and entertaining addresses ; to tho wives and daughters of tlie veterans, who presented the Post with an elegant Bible, and to Mayor J. H. Applegate for his eloquent presentation speech, &c.
