to a at DORCAS CIRCLE Mrs. Betty. English and Mrs Betty Thompson were hostesses to members of the Dorcas Circle of the Lucerne Christian church at the Wednesday afternoon meeting held in the church.. Mary K. Webber, vice-chairman, conducted the meeting which opened with singing of "Come, Ye Thankful People" followed by de votions by Mrs. Edna Brandt. A report on the Missionary Ba^ zaar was given by Mrs. Essie Herd. Announcement was made that gifts would be purchased for Christmas presents for state hos pital patients with Alta Mae Burton and Jean Morphet in charge. Named to office were: Mary Backus, president; Mary K. Webber, vice-president; Frieda Cross, secretary; Josephine Rob inson, assistant secretary; Betty Smith, treasurer; Betty Marshall, assistant treasurer; Birdie Hall, pianist; Gail Cree .assistant pianist; Sybil Clark, chorister and Opal English, assistant chorister Members repeated the Mispah in closing. Theresa Sellers conducted contests with prizes Seing awarded Essie Herd, Mary K. Webber and Jean Morphet. Refreshments were served.
