IN TEMPORARY SERVICE — Mrs. Robert DeVore, center, and Mrs. D. Glann Farquhar, right, experience the thrill of a ride in a 48-ton tank during the meeting of area Red Cross volunteers at Camp Irwin recently. The 14 Redlands women attending the meeting were invited on the brief outing by the 5th Medium Tank Battalion stationed at Camp Irwin. With Mrs. DeVore and Mrs. Farquhar is Specialist Five Homer Smith, one of the crewmen.
