PBES, E, F, KEARNEY VISITS LOGANSPORT As a stop-over on his summer inspection inspection trip. President E. F. Kearney Kearney of. the Wabash railroad, spent last night in this city, his former Home. Kearney and his staff officers arrived here last night at 5- o'clock in two special cars being run as an extra passenger train. After visiting his sister, Miss Margaret Kearney, the president and his staff were given an auto ride over the city. The two cars with the officials were taken from the city by train No. 28, east bound at 8:30 this morning. The party was composed of Pres. Kearney; J. E. Tassigj vice pres.; L. G. Scott, Comptroller; T. J. Jones, Gen. Supt.; R. H. Howard, chief engineer engineer of M. of W. Dept.: E. Sollitt. Division Division Supt.; N. Johnson, Division Engineer; Engineer; Mr. Patillo, Secretary to President Kearney, Mr. Hays, Secretary Secretary to Vice-president Tassig. The men will return through here in a few days enroute to St. Louis. CIRCUS TflA!N TO GOJHROU6H HEBE Ringling Brothers' circus, which is showing at Ft. Wayne tomorrow, will be handled through this city by the Pennsy tomorrow night or early Friday Friday morning. The train will come in on the Michigan division and be transferred to the Logansport division here. Then it will be pulled to Kokomo Kokomo on the "third" division. The show plays Kokomo Friday, the thirteenth. thirteenth. This will probably be as close to Logansport ts any big circus will come this season. WINAMAClEWS The Mothers' club meets Friday afternoon, at the public library witli -Mrs. William Itunchcnburg and William. March in charge. The card club meets tomorrow evening with Mrs. Charles Hoffman. Mrs. Thomas Manders and daughters, daughters, Misses Mildred and Dorothy, went to Chit-ago this morning for short visit. Little Miss Mary Selle was to a number of her friends at a yesterday afternoon. The county executive board of Christian Endeavor met last night set August 4 as the date^of the county convention. The town is ablaze with posters advertising LaTena's three-ring circus, which is to be held in Winauiac 23. The tents will be pitched on Dr. Geo. Thompson lots on South Market street. Mrs. Grant Goodpasture is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Fanny at Pine Village. Dr. Gross..president of Depauw university, will speak at Winamac tomorrow tomorrow eevning.
