A J Davis Family Reunion
1 The A. J. Davis Family In Reunion On Father's Day Father's Day was reunion day for Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Davis and family of Purdon. The following children were present: Bert, Drude, Plemon and Bill Davis; Mr. and Mrs. Sid Durbin, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Tickle, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shell, Mrs. Geta Davis, Mrs. Addle Davis, Mrs. Joe Davis and Mrs. Edna Davis. The following grand children: Vernon Davis and wife, Mrs. Dora Lee Hadley, husband; Lowell Davis, Charles Kennedy and wife, Harold Davis, Wanda Marie Davis, Jimmic Sue Durbin, Imogene Shell, Verna Sue Davis, Vcra Liza Durbin, Frclda Bell Shell, Mary Nell Davis, Billie Ann Davis, two great grandchildren, Jackie Denton Davis and Roddlc Hadley. A niece, Mrs. Maggie Crank of Stcphenville and her son, Jim Crank and wife; Mrs. Dora Senior, a niece, and two sons, Joe Clark and George. One daughter, Mrs. Mary Ford, wa$ absent and several grandchildren. A bountiful spread was enjoyed at the noon hour. The children brought well filled baskets as well as a nice barbecued lamb, prepared by Matt Tickle and wife. After lunch pictures wore made of the entire group, also groups of the father, mother and children, and n group ol the grandchildren. The home-coming was planned as a surprise to Uncle Jack, and It worked perfectly. All who know his jovial nature are aware of the joy it brought him. The surprise planned for Aunt Dora was the coming of her niece and family of Stephenville.—Contributed.
