representative that as member administration's not appointment Herbert Heimericks, 23, of Schumate Chapel Dies at Hospital LOSES A TEN-DAY ^ FIGHT FOR HIS LIFE Funeral Services Will Be Held Wednesday Morning at 9 a.m. Herbert Hcimericks i 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben j. Heimericks, of Schumale Chapel community, died at 8:45 o'clock this morning at the hospital from injuries sustained in wreck on the night of April 7, last, in which his younger brother, Leonard, 18, was instantly killed. Suffering a skull fracture, broken right leg and internal injuries, Heimericks had lingered between life and death at the hospital for the last ten days. He showed slight improvement late last week a n hope for his recovery was brightened, but he suffered another setback this morning and died shortly afterwards. Herbert was riding on the rear a motorcycle driven by his brother when it crashed into an automobile were the intersection of at west Highway 50 and Kansas Street on the night of Friday, April 7. Leonard Heimericks was killed outright, sustaining a bad fracture of the skull and other injuries. A jury at a coroner's inquest the wreck held the accident was caused by the excessive speed of the motorcycle, and rMs. Schwartz was absolved of blame. Herbert Heimericks had been employed at the Evelcr Filling Station east of here on Highway 50. He is survived by his bereaved parents, two sisters, Misses Hermina and Katherine and three brothers Paul, Robert and Ralph all of at home. ' Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Peter's Church and interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. will be the third Heimricks to be buried within the last ten days, uncle, G. J. Heimricks, dying the night before the fatal accident at his home near the Jeeffrson Â· City Country Club. The brothers were returning from a visit at their dead uncle's home when the wreck occurred. Heimericks body will be removed from the Dawson-Tanner Funeral Home to the county residence this afternoon.
