Trevorton Road Woman Expires Mrs. Telia May Sminkey, 73. wife of Ralph Sminkey, Trevorton Road, died this morning at 3:20 in Sunbury Community Hospital, where she had been a patient since last Tuesday. Mrs. Sminkey was seized with the first of two strokes nin years ago. The second stroke occurred two weeks ago. Her death severed a marital union of 54 years. A native of Trevorton, Mrs. Sminkey was born September 5. 1885, a daughter of the late Joel and Mary (Warner) Derk. She attended Zerbe Township schools. Mr. and Mrs. Sminkey were married May 1, 1905, in the parsonage parsonage of Lincoln Street Methodist Methodist Church, Shamokin. Two years later, they moved to Greensburg, and then returned t& Shamokin to live for a short time before moving moving in 1909 to Philadelphia, where they resided until two and a half years ago, when they built a new home along Trevorton Road. Mrs. Sminkey attended Trevorton Trevorton Evangelical Congregational Church. While a resident of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, she was an active member member of First United Presbyterian Church. j Surviving are the husband, three sons, Chester Smnkey, Lans-downe; Lans-downe; Lans-downe; Ralph Sminkey, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, and Loys SminkeV, Audu bon, N. J.; two sisters. Mrs. Ellen Ellen Dunkelberger, Kentucky, and Mrs. Flora Fisher, Harrisburg; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren great-grandchildren great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Foust Funeral Home, .Trevorton. Rev. Robert G. Hower, Lavelle, former pastor of Trevorton Evangelical Congregational Church, will offici ate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Fellows Cemetery, Trevorton Road. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening and Friday Friday until time of services.
