Title Awarded To Company Ownership of West End Land Decided A verdict on vpecial issues in favor of thÂ« Gal'eslon West End Co. has been returned by a district court jury after a three- day trial of a case involving Â·eulon of a piece of property located at 57th and P\~. The case was styled Galveston West End Co. vs. Rosa Woods, al, and It was a trespass to try title suit. Testimony introduced in the trial Â·bowed that the Woods family been occupying the property since 1915. and that the late Jeff a Southern Pacific dock worker who wns kHlcd in Â«in Automobile accident on 61st street In 1540. Â·igned an acknowledgement of tenancy in 1916. The defedants sought to claim possession of the proj.crtv by a limitation title. The twelve jurors in their verdict held that the Woods family haa been in possession of the property for more than ten years that Jeff Woods did sign the acknowledgement of tenancy. The Galveston West End Co. represented In the t rial of the case by Charles G. Dibrcil Jr. William E. Greer, while the defendants defendants were represented by Randolph Flerson.
