WARSAW MAN IS Charles E. Raker, Prominent Business Man, Taken to Prison at Michigan City. WARSAW, Ind., Nov. 15. Charlet B. Raker, well known buaineaa man of thla city, who waa arreeted on Wedneaday on a charge of forgery, appeared before Judge Bowaer Friday morning and pleaded guilty to tha charge. He waa aentenced to a terra of from two to fourteen yeara in prlaon and wa taken to Michigan City by offlicor Chance B. Moon. Mr - Raker, who had been 1U for aeveral weeke, was very feeble and waa attended by hi physician and nurse when he appoared In court. He had forged notes extensively during Uhe last two year, but with ona exception, managed to. keep the publio In ignorance of hi wrong doing. It la aald that a Koeclusko bank dlsoov ered his crooked dealings about a year ago. but that Mr. Raker begged for leniency after making good .tha notes. atit tna matter waa not made public. He had been In th habit of cashing on forged note to meet tha payments due on others and kept this up for a - long time.
