.RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT. XENIA, O., Feb. S, 1898. ^ WHEREAS : It has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from our midst and from their homes and families, Comrade John P. Patterson, late of Co. H^ 94th O. V. I., and Comrade Oliver H. P. Krise, of Co. E, 94th O. V. I. Therefore be it, Jtesoked, That;,by the death of our comrades, those who , remain of their families have been caused, tc mourn the loss of kind and affectionate Kus,Kinds and fathers. The communities in which they have lived have lost upright, honorable citizens whose Christian lives have been examples for good, and their comrades who remain are sorrowing for the loss of two of the Nation's brave and noble defenders. Resolved, That we shall ever hold our departed comrades in fraternal remembrance, emulate their virtues, never forgetting the loyalty which prompted them to go forth to duties, hardships and dangers in defending the flag they loved so well. Resolved^ That we earnestly extend our sympathy and condolence to the families of our deceased comrades for the loss they have sustained, Jtesoived, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the families of each, and a copy to the press for publication.
