Tiny Washer Does Big Time Job THE laundry gnome whose haunting elfin face pops out of every hamper so often during the summer months, does more to harass the housewife than almost any other household chore. But our scientists have discovered a way to vanish his impish grin. There is a miniature washer on the market, built for apartment use or the tiny cottage. It will hold one full-size sheet and two pillow cases, or two single sheets. Four men's shirts can be washed at one time; and it is excellent for baby clothes. In this capacity it is ideal in the large home as well as in the small dwelling. It is a sturdy little piece of mechanism, too. There are two types; galvanized, which is hot-dipped to prevent corroding, and triple-coated enamel. It is portable and uses amazingly little electricity. Another nice feature is that the container can be used for boiling clothes before the electrical washing attachment is connected. And they sell for as low as $9.85.
