Ernst Aldag, son of Daniel Aldag and wife, nee Kleine, was born on his parents farm near Hoyleton on Nov. 1,1870. He was baptized by the late Rev. M. Eirich, and attended the parochial school at New Minden and after having completed his training there was confirmed by Rev. Eirich on April 10. 1884. On May 22, 1898, he was married to Miss Regina Kasten and together they settled on a farm a mile north of Irvington where they lived for 28 years. In August, 1926, they moved to Hoyleton where he rema
