Mrs. Maude Edwards Services for Mrs. Maude McHone Edwards, 58, of 331 Broadway, who died Tuesday in a local hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Long's Chapel Baptist Church near Weaverville. Tho Rev. Lester C. Edwards and the Rev. Ben Lee Honeycutt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luther I-Iarwood, T. L. and Gary Watts, Jerry Ramsey, Paul Gregory and Phil Buckner. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Buncombe County. Surviving are the husband, Remus Emerson Edwards; five daughters, Mrs. Maude Louise McMahan of Fairview, Mrs. Juanila Higgins of Weaverville, Mrs. Vernie Mae Harris, Mrs. Judy Ann Watts and Mrs. Nina Belle Lunsford, all of Asheville; five sons, Claude ot Jacksonville, Fla., Verdy of Hyattsville, Md., Emerson Gilbert, Samuel and Rickman Joseph Edwards, all of Asheville; five sisters, Miss Ida McHone and Mrs. Dolly Buckner, both of Weavervil'e, Mrs. Bergetta Baldwin ot Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Rena Sherlin and Mrs. Bminu Waldrop, both of Asheville; two Robert McHone of Weaverville; 3G grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The body has been taken to the residence by Berryman-Hall Funeral Home, where it will remain until placed in the church for the services.
