Sgt. James H. Billington, 19, of Ackerly, flew as a ball turret gunner gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress, of the 96th Bomb. Group in the Eighth air force attack on rail junctions at Kitzchgen, Germany. Before entering the service in November, November, 1943, Sgt. Billington was a welder in Oakland, Calif. Ha is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Billington, of Ackerly. He received received his gunner's wings at Kingman, Arizona in July, 1944.
