MRS JENNIE EMORY Mrs. Jennie Marie Emory- 52, wife of Henry K. Emory, died at her home. 400 Flint street at-.11:30 o'clock Wednesday evening. She had been in declining health since February and in a serious condt- t'on for two weeks. She was born in Buncombe county May 23, 1S98 the daughter of John E. and Ida Souther Lance. She came to this city 27 years ago from Spartanburg S. C. She was a regular attendant at The services at the South Side Baptist Chrurch. . On March 13, 191S she was married to Mr. Emory. Emory. Surviving are the husband; our daughters, Misses Christine Smory, Aline Emory, and Jeanette Jeanette Emory all of the home, and "Miss Charlotte Emory of New York City; two sons, Edw_ard Emory of this city, and Ralph Emory of the U. S. Army, now in Korea; three sisters, Mrs. Leroy Summcy, Mrs. ClydtSleele, and ^Irs. Frai«k Brad-i bury: four brothers: Frank Lance Floyd Lance, and Hicks Lance, als of this city, and Paul Lance of New York City; three grand-children. grand-children. Funeral services will be conducted conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the South Side Baptist Church, by the pastor Rev. W. H. Barker.
