He was preceded in death by a brother, William Voris. Died Sunday Raymond Galloway Funeral Thursday NORTH VERNON - Funeral service for Raymond W. Galloway, 69, Third Street, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Dove and Sharp Funeral Home, where calling will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Galloway died at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Indianapolis. He was retired from North Vernon Forge and was a member of Queensville Community Church and the Foster Grandparent Program. He was born May 13, 1919, in Logansport, and was the son of Frank and Mamie Galloway. He married Madge E. Novinger on Sept. 3, 1949, in Anderson. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Raymond W. Galloway Jr. of Flint, Mich.; a stepson, George W. Moore of Marion; a stepdaughter, Josie Marksberry of North Vernon; a brother, Charles Galloway of Logansport; Logansport; sisters, Lila Sison and Flossie Sheridan, both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. Died Sunday Jack McCory Funeral Wednesday BROWNSTOWN - Funeral service service for Jack McCory, 48, North Ewing Street, will be conducted by the Rev. Neal McCory at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Winklepleck-Weesner Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home. Calling will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Burial will be at Smallwood Cemetery west of Brownstown. Memorials may be made to the Smallwood Cemetery Fund. McCory died at 6:07 p.m. Sunday at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Memorial Hospital. He retired from Kieffer's Paper Mill in Brownstown after 23 years and had owned and operated McCory's Auction Service in Brownstown for 11 years. McCory was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Jackson County. He was the son of the late Harel "Popeye" McCory and Dessie Schwein McCory of Kissimmee, Fla. He married Janet "Ginger" McCory on Feb. 2, 1974, in Jeffersonville. She surivives. Also surviving are his stepmother, stepmother, Anne, McCory of Indianapolis; Indianapolis; daughters, Patricia Lynch of Seymour and Anita Root of Freetown; a son, Jack "Buddy" McCory Jr. of Seymour; a brother, Tom McCory of Brownstown; sisters, June Bass and Wilma Murphy, both of Kissimmee, Fla.; and three granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Gospel singer A.W. Reid Tennessee Word has been received here of the death of A.W. "Pappy" Reid who died Sunday night in Hendersonville, Tenn. He sang with the Singing Reid Family gospel singers. He had appeared appeared in the area many times and was well known here. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Madison Funeral Home in Madison, Tenn., where calling will be this evening. Died Monday Rebecca Sandlin Funeral Wednesday NORTH VERNON - Funeral service for Rebecca Bannister Sandlin. 40, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dove and Sharp Funeral Home, where calling will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be at Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Sandlin died at 5:19 a.m. Monday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Jennings County, and was the daughter of the late Alvin Bannister and Margaret Carmer Bannister of Route 1 Holton. She married Fred Sandlin on Aug. 15, 1970. He survives. Also surviving are sons, Mike and Andy Sandlin, both at home; sisters, Mary Robins and Kay Bannister, both of North Vernon; and brothers. Clyde Bannister of North Vernon and Charles Bannister of Bedford.
