PENINSULA NEWS AUGUST LARSON DIES Negannee--August Larson, 72, a resident of Negaunee nearly all his life, died at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Sylvester, who resides in the Patch location. Born in Sweden October 31, 1864, Mr Larson came to Negaunee with his parents when he was three years old He was employed here tor many years as a carpenter. Mr. Larson leaves four daughters, Mrs Sylvester, Negaunee; Mrs. John Chaquette, Negaunee; Mrs. Thomas Phillips, Pontiac, and Mrs Thomas Henshall, Milwaukee. There are three brothers, John and of Negaunee, and Frank, of Phoenix, Ariz, and a grandson, Frank Sylvester Jr of Negaunee 50 SAIL TflE LAKES Sault Ste. Marie--More than fifty Great Lakes sailors who call Sault Ste. Marie their "home port" are preparing to leave for lower lake ports to "fit out" ships for the season They predict a record breaking year In tonnage, basing their predictions on the number of men from here who will "ship" this
