STANLEY "SHORTY" MAY Sr., 82, Indianapolis, died Friday. Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday In Lavenla's Home for Funerals, with calling from noon. He had been a porter 13 years for the Indiana State Police, retiring In 1982. Mr. May also owned the Window Washing King and became a well-known figure Downtown by dancing while he washed the windows of department stores and other businesses. He was honored In 1982 by the Indianapolis Clean City Committee for more than 20 years of window cleaning. He was a member of Meridian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors: wife, Alean Colvln May; sons, Stanley Jr. and Preston May; daughter, Darlene May; stepsons, Joseph and Johnnie Barney; stepdaughters, Tonl B. Smith and Elenore Barney; sister, Georgia Washington; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
