CRASH SKETCH SHOWN JURORS Student Draws Mrs. Ternes Falling Falling Out of Buggy on Auto. The first impressionistic sketch ever shown in a local court figured in the trial of the damage suit between John T. Giles and John P. Ternes in the second division of the district -couTt -couTt yesterday noon. This picture showed Mrs. John P. Ternes hurling through the air from a buggy driven, by her husband, to the hood of an automobile driven by Giles. The picture was drawn, by E. W. Van-kirk, Van-kirk, Van-kirk, of the Wichita Business college, from a description of the accident given by Giles. After the jury saw the picture, they went outside the court house -and -and viewed the automobile, automobile, buggy and horse that figured in the accident. The accident is alleged to have happened a mile or more west of Wichita, on Maple street, last August. August. ' During yesterday's trial witnesses for Giles testified that his automobile was badly dented by the collision. This Ternes denied. In order that the jury might decide the disputed point for themselves, Cliff Matson, Ternes' attorney, asked that they be allowed to view the car. Judge Sargent assented assented to his request.
