Eugene Halbert, 46, of Route 1, died shortly after arrival Monday at the Branch County Community Health Center in Coldwater. He was taken to the health center after being stricken at home. A native of Martin, Ky., he moved to Tekonsha 15 years ago. He formerly was employed by the State Farm Insurance Companies in Marshall and was an Army veteran of the Korean war.
