James E Pepper's body returns home
Hap-good in AT REST IN OLD HOME. BODT OF COL. JAMES E. PEPPER AT MEABOWTHORP. Funeral Will Be Held In Lexington To-day Wife Prostrated By Shock. Gre-vc-lle; of Lexington, Ky., Dec. 26. Special. The body of Col. James E. Pepper arrived here this evening oh the C. and O. train from New Tork. On the same tiaih was Mrs. Pepper, accompanied by her brother, J. B. . Oftutt, . and a trained nurse, Mrs. Pepper having been prostrated by the shock of her husband's death. Many friends and relatives of the family met the train at the depot. The body was taken to Meadowthorp, the late home of the dead man where It v.lll remain until the funeral. The funeral sendees will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at Christ Church Cathedral; Dean W.-.T. Capers officiating, and the Interment will be In the Lexington cemetery.
