July 5 Betsy Hood And Mark Sevin Wed In Recent Marriage Service The United Presbyterian Church of Marion In Marion Center was the setting May 31st for the marriage of Betsy Ann Hood and Mark Scott Sevin. the Rev. George H. Giles, uncle of the bride, from Oil City officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony A reception follow- ed the ceremony at the Marion Center Fire Hall. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (Jeorge Hood of Marion Center. Parents of the groom are Mrs. Connie Sevin of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sevin of Wexford. Wedding music for the ceremony was provided by Miss Rebecca Wiggins, organist. Ken Black, Marion Center RD 2. provided organ music at the reception. Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride appeared in a floor length gown of cream polyester crepe featuring an empire waist with cream chantilly lace covering the bodice, a sweetheart neckline and full sleeves ending in a French cuff. The gown was styled in an A-line skirt which tapered into a chapel train. Her headpiece was a chantilly lace covered camelot cap enhanced with a waist length illusion veil. The bride's bouquet consisted of yellow roses, white daisies, stephanotis, white chrysanthemums and baby's breath. Maid of honor was Miss Susan Hein, cousin of the bride, of Pittsburgh. She appeared in a pastel (pink, blue, green and yellow) plaid seersucker princess line gown with matching jacket. Accenting her dress, she wore a cream colored picture hat with pink ribbon trim and a pink silk rose. She carried a bouquet of daisies with a pink ribbon. Bridesmaids were Miss Carla Warren, friend of the bride, of Coraopolis and Mrs. Barbara Hood, sister-in-law of the bride, of Indiana RD 5. The bridesmaids' gowns and flowers were identical to the maid of honor. Best man was Kenneth Smith of Detroit. Ushers' duties were performed by Michael Skiba. cousin of the groom, of Detroit and Michael Schubert, friend from Detroit. The newlyweds honeymooned in Michigan, and will be home at Ridge Road Extension. Ambridge. until September when they will move to State College. The bride is a 1971 graduate from Vlarion Center Area High School and a 1973 graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She is employed at Colonial Gallery. Inc. of Pittsburgh. Her husband is a graduate of Redford High School in Michigan and is presently a .junior at Pennsylvania State University where he is majoring in computer science. He is employed at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh for the summer. (Photo by Rod Allshouse)
