Mary Ellen Brizendine
Nampa, Tayette, and Weiser, Idaho! Mary Ellen Brizendine Mary Ellen Brizendine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Bass, was born in Springfield, Mo., July 26, 1857. She leparted from this life in Moravia, Iowa, December 18, 1932 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 23 days. She united with the Methodist church n her girlhood. Mary Bass was married to William Brizendine July 28, 1874. Mr. Briz- eiulinc preceded her in death, February February 4th, 10.12. To this union were born 13 children two of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are Laura Brizendine of Moravia; Clarence Brizendine of Mus- •atine, In.; Emma Bates of Burling- .011, la.; Lnvicu Sneed of Woodland, ^alif.; Frank Brizendine of Burling- on, la.; James Brizendine of Gaston, Iregon; Alfred Brizendine of Center- .'ille, la.; Bertha Lee of Mnulton, la.; .)ran Brizendine of Des Moines, la.; -arl Brizendine of Moravia; Edward Brizendine of Corydon, la.; also twen- :y-two grandchildren. Two sisters also survive: Lovica Summers of Tingley, la.; and Martha Blaney of Hopedale, 111. Two brothe a?id one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services were held from the Turner Funeral Home Tuesday morn- ng, December 20th, at 10 o'clock, con- lucted b.v the Rev. J. C. Behrens of he Methodist church. Burial was nade in the family lot at Promise City.
