off a refusing the A Cycling at Hampden Park. SPUINGFIBLD, Mass., Sept. 12.--A stiff northeaster blew across the Hampden park track when the trial heats fpr Springfield bicycle club's diamond tournament tournament were run off. Fast time was of the question even if the riders had loafed. The finishes, however, were unl- formly brilliant. The great surprise of the day was the defeat of Harry C. in the first heat of the trial for the international record race. He holdback until too late and was displaced by men as Kay McDonald, George F. Watson Coloman and J. P. Bliss. also lost his place in the 1-mile 2:10 Bliss was outdone in tho half-mile handicap. Sanger rode in great form.
