Boy Struck by Car, Dies From Injuries An 8-year-old Ogden boy died this morning at the St. Benedict's hospital, following an automobile-pedestrian accident Wednesday afternoon at 28th and Fowler. Hospital officials said Mark R. Taylor, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Taylor of 2735 Van Buren, died at about 4 a.m. today, after suffering extensive head injuries. STRUCK BY CAR The boy was struck by a car driven by John Davis, 19. of 1752 W. Pleasant View Drive, in Pleasant View. Davis told Ogden City police that the boy darted in front of his auto as it proceeded west on 28th. The boy froze in front of the car before he was hit, Davis j said. ' .••--. I Police officials said the car knocked the boy more than 80 feet before coming to rest. Ogden Police said investigation is continuing into the accident Mark R. Taylor was born Dec. 14, 1959, in Ogden. He was a member of the 52nd LDS Ward, attended Sunday School and Primary, and was a second grade student at Quincy Elementary School. Wight of Ogden. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Welling Zundel of the 52nd Ward conducting. Friends may 'call at the mortuary Friday from 7 to, 9 p.m. and Saturday until time of services.
