Aerial Exploits Of Wiley Post NEW YORK, Aug. 16. (IP)— Here are the aerial exploits of Wiley Post, who with Will Rogers, film comedian, was killed today in an airplane crash in Alaska. With Harold Gatty, Post flew around the world in eight days, 15 hours, and 51 minutes, In 1931. In 1933, he made a solo 'round- the-world flight, in seven days, 18 hours, and 49 Vi minutes. The following year, Post announced announced he would concentrate on the practical side of aviation. He made two sensational high altitude altitude trips over his home town of Bartlesville, Okla., wearing a "supercharged suit" of his. own design. Post made four unsuccessful attempts attempts to make a transcontinental transcontinental flight through the stratosphere. Each time he was forced down on the way from Burbank, Cal., to New STork, the last failure June 1, this year. He used but one ship in all of his achievements—the "Winnie Mae."
