Copyright. 1835. by United Press POINT BARROW, Alaska, Aug. 16 Will Rogers and Wiley Post were killed 15 miles south of here late last night in a plane crash. Lost in a fog, Post at the controls, the plane swerved and smashed into the tundra on a river bank, overturning when it struck frozen hummocks of moss. Its right wing was broken, its nose and engine driven backward into the cabin. The crash instantly killed both occupants. The plane fell from an altitude of about 50 feet. - ; - Post's wrist watch, shattered by the impact, was stopped at 8:18 p. m. (2:18 a. m. Friday, Pittsburgh time.)
