Wall Is said to be defeated, and James Daly will be nominated. E. F. Cullerton won handily In the Ninth, after after one of the fiercest contests known In the history of the ward. John T. Connoy, who was the candidate of the city ball and the Cole league, was defeated, in the Eleventh John D. Gaxsolo. who was opposed by the city hall and the Cole league, carried the day, defeating F. B. Lane, whtr was the mayor's mayor's candidate. In the Seventeenth M. 61. O'Connor-went O'Connor-went O'Connor-went down, and Richard T. Shay carried the primaries. Shay is handicapped by Cole's indorsement. John H. Colvln was assured the nomination In the Twenty-Second Twenty-Second Twenty-Second ward, although, be told the people up there they should not vote for him. In the Third district, where R. E. Colvln got 299 to 109 for Becker. In the district district where reside Mayor Harrison and Frank lln MacVeagh the vote stood. Colvln, 183; Becker, 92. In the Fifth district Colvln had 250, while Becker secured but 47. The total was, Colvln, 1.123; Becker. 431. There waa a surprise in the Second ward. It bad been supposed that Alderman C. F. Ounther, the special pet of the Cole league, would be renominated renominated without opposition. On the contrary, contrary, a hot fight against Ounther, and in the Interest of F. 8. Follansbee. developed early In the afternoon, and when the polls closed Ounther had only one majority In the delegation aa elected, he having seven and Follansbee six delegate. It la possible that Ounther may not be nominated. John J. Coughlin carried the First ward, O'Malley the Twenty-Third, Twenty-Third, Twenty-Third, McGillen the Twenty-First, Twenty-First, Twenty-First, and Martin the Sixth. In fact, nearly every man condemned by Cole won. Schlake In the Twenty-Sixth, Twenty-Sixth, Twenty-Sixth, Maypole In the Thirteenth, nd Walker In the Twenty-Fourth Twenty-Fourth Twenty-Fourth are the only distinctively Cole candidates who were successful.
