PVT. CARL MILES, JR., AT KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE Biloxi, Miss. — Pvt. Carl Miles, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Miles, Otwell, Otwell, Ind., has recently reported to Keesler to begin training in the Air Forces Radar School which is a part of this large technical school of the Air Force Air Training Command. Command. A base of the Air Training Command’s Command’s Technical Division, Keesler is also the home of a large Communications Communications school and one of the three Armed Forces Radiological Defense Schools. The training Pvt. Miles receives in the Radar School will extend over a varied period of time dependent upon his assignment, 16 weeks of which will be an introduction to the fundamentals and principles of elementary electronics as applied to Radar. The second phase of his training will be either in Ground Radar Equipment or Airborn Radar Operation and Equipment. This training will qualify him to operate and maintain Air Force Radar Equipment.
